Cottage cheese and cherry crumble
Ingredients
for an approx. 25 × 30 cm baking tray
30 dkg
flour
4 dkg
sugar
15 dkg
Mizo butter
1
egg yolk
2 tablespoons
Mizo sour cream (20%)
1 pinch
salt
35 dkg
Mizo curd
20 dkg
cherries (can be canned or frozen)
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
1
egg white
5 dkg
sugar
as required
Mizo sour cream (20%)
Instructions:
Wash the cherries, remove their seeds, then drain them.
Knead the flour thoroughly with the sugar, butter, egg yolk, sour cream and salt. Put the dough in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Crush the cottage cheese with a fork, then mix in the vanilla extract, sugar, beaten egg whites and a little sour cream to your taste.
Grate one half of the dough on a large-hole grater into the baking tray, pile the filling on it, arrange the cherries on top, and finally grate the remaining dough on top. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
Tip:You may put the other half of the dough back in the freezer for a short time so that you can grate it more easily.
