Fried stuffed cheese

25 dkg
Mizo curd
6 tablespoons
Mizo sour cream (20%)
to taste
salt
to taste
freshly ground black pepper
to taste
garlic

for breading:

flour

Instructions:

 

Grate the cheese on a large-hole grater and arrange it evenly in a medium-sized baking tray. Bake it in a preheated 200 degree C oven for approx. 5 minutes or until it slightly spreads. Remove the edges from the oven with a plastic knife to arrange them to a regular rectangular shape. Let it cool down, then carefully pick it up from the baking sheet.
Mix the cottage cheese with sour cream, season with salt, pepper and crushed garlic. Pile the filling on the cheese, smear it on the top and roll up. Cut into 5-6 cm pieces and coat it in the usual way with flour, lightly beaten eggs and breadcrumbs. If you coat it twice, it is less likely to melt away during baking. Freeze them for 1-2 hours, then deep fry in hot oil. Drain the excess fat on a paper towel.
Serve it with mashed potatoes or any other garnish you like.
 
Tip: You can also fill the cheese with pieces of lean, smoked bacon.
