Asparagus in puff pastry
1 package of , (8-12 pieces)
freshly ground black pepper 5 dkg
Mizo butter 1 package
frozen puff pastry (4 sheets) 8 thin slices
(homemade) smoked ham or smoked bacon 10 dkg
Mizo Bácskai knead cheese 10 dkg
Mizo Aniko cheese
Break the asparagus at the crunchy part, pre-cook for about 2 minutes. Drain, sprinkle with a little salt and ground pepper and brush with melted butter.
Thaw 2 sheets of the puff pastry. Cut each in half to make 4 dough sheets. Stretch each one a little in a square shape. Brush the first one with melted butter, then turn it. Lay 2 slices of ham on it, sprinkle with the two types of grated cheese and place 2-3 asparagus on top. Fold the 2 ends of the sheet over each other to make a "slipper" shape. Do the same with the remaining sheets and filling. Arrange the slippers on a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle it with the remaining grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the dough is puffy and the cheese is golden brown on the top (approx. 20 minutes).
