Cheese & Ham Scones – The Easiest English Treat

Mizo lactose-free butter (cold)

If you want to bake hearty scones quickly and easily, this is the recipe for you! With added ham, it’s even more perfect for Easter. Let’s get started!

Mix the flour with salt, then grate the cold butter using a coarse grater and the cheese with a finer grater. Quickly rub everything together, then add the remaining ingredients and knead into a dough.

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface, adding extra flour if too sticky. Roll it out to finger-thickness and cut out medium-sized scones. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg white, and sprinkle with grated cheese. For extra flavor, add dried oregano, basil, or sesame seeds.

Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 15-17 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately to guests or enjoy during a cozy holiday movie night.
